Help! Why can’t I see or edit information in the Treasury tab?

Every team member of a Klear account has a set of permissions, which dictate what info they can view and edit. If you’re not seeing the information you expect, or your teammate is seeing something different, that means you have different permissions.

Permissions are set by your team’s account owner, or the person who created your organization’s Klear account. New team members default to the most restrictive set of permissions, which allows them to view most information, with the exception of financial information, but not edit it. If you think you have the wrong permissions, you should contact your account owner. Direct them to this article for help updating permissions.

This article is specifically about the Treasury tab which also governs access to most kinds of financial information across the platform. Account owners can hide financial information from team members, or owners can give members the ability to view, but not edit, info.

Below is an explanation of some of the options you may see in the Treasury tab, and the permissions that enable them.

Stripe verification

Some team members will have the option to set up payments via Stripe. If so, you’ll see details when you navigate to the Stripe section of the Treasury tab (see below).

If you don’t have permission to view Stripe info, you’ll still see the Stripe tab. You won’t be able to enter info and won’t see if verification has been completed (see below).

Payables and Collections

You may not have permission to view payables and collections. In that case, you won’t see those sections of the Treasury tab (see below).

You may also have “view only” privileges. In that case, you will see the sections for Collections and Payables. You’ll see info about financial milestones in those sections. However, you won’t be able to make payments or generate invoices.

If you have full editing privileges for payments, you’ll be able to generate invoices and send payments from your organization’s Klear financial account. You’ll know you have full editing privileges because the blue action buttons will appear in the Collections and Payables sections.
